The village
The town of Luzy is located in the south of the regional natural park of Le Morvan, on the banks of the river Alene and about 30 minutes from the city of Autun.
About 2000 people live here. The town has a regional function, so there are plenty of shops and restaurants, 2 supermarkets, bakeries, a butcher, a hairdresser, clothing stores, and so on.
The river Alene runs through the village. Behind the market hall is a beautifully landscaped meadow / river bank for a nice picnic and romp in the water. There is also fitness equipment here.
Most of the shops, the church and market hall are located in the center. The weekly market on Fridays is also organized here. In the summer it is considerably larger than in the winter. This is because there are many more people in this region in the summer.
Under the link events and what to do you will find all the fun things that happen in and around Luzy. Here you can visit the markets, but also beautiful (musical) events that take place there, such as fête du violon and luzycyclette. But the big antiques market on May 1 should not be forgotten either. Just like the Christmas market with many illuminated events.
A tourist info point is also present in Luzy where they have all the information from the area. Here you will find everything you need for various days out.
